Small Fry
Grouping: Combined sessions for boys and girls in pre-school who generally are 4 years old as of August 31 of the fall season
Duration: • 8 weeks per season

• Fall programs run from September to November and Spring programs run from April to June

League: This is a non-travel, in-town program
Schedule: 1 day per week for practices and games (see graphic below)
Games: Format is 3V3 with small size Infinity goals and size 3 ball
Practices:
  • First half of each weekly session focuses on training and second half focuses on small-sided games
  • Each session begins with a group-wide demonstration of the weekly theme by a Revolution coach
  • Revolution coaches and volunteer parent coaches then work together to support players practicing the skills during the training and small-sided game portions of the weekly sessions
Skills Training: No additional weekly skills training for these grade groups
Location: Lower Sauta field
Equipment:
  • HYSA provides all players a Hudson Youth Soccer tee shirt as part of the registration fee
  • All players must wear their Hudson Youth Soccer tee shirt each week
  • All players must bring a size 3 ball
  • All players must wear cleats or sneakers (cleats are not required but are recommended)
  • All players must wear shin guards and soccer socks (socks must be worn over shin guards)
  • All players should bring a water bottle
  • Players cannot wear earrings, hats, hooded sweatshirts, jewelry, or other metal on their person
