Note: In the coming weeks in an effort to ensure our players, parents and coaches return to play safely after the recent suspension of activities due to COVID-19, HYSA will be issuing guidelines for players, parents and coaches to follow related to player contact, face coverings, social distancing, sanitizing, and much more. These guidelines will be based on the Phase 3 reopening guidelines pending from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Town of Hudson, and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association.

Who: For all Small Fry (SF), Advanced Small Fry (ASF), Grade 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6/7 boys and girls. Rostered by age/grade for the upcoming school calendar year (09/01/20 to 08/31/21).

Description: Six weeks of summer soccer including a combination of skills training, small‐sided games, and scrimmages. All sessions run by experienced New England Revolution Academy Coaches.

Location: Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School, Aztec Field, 215 Fitchburg St, Marlborough.

When:

  • SF/ASF, Tuesdays, weeks of 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3 and 8/10
  • Grades 1/2, 3/4, 5/6/7, Tuesdays and Thursdays weeks of 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3 and 8/10

Times: TBD between a timeslot of 4 PM to 7:30 PM. The youngest players will play earliest.

Registration: Registration will be open from 6/19 to 7/19. Cost is $75.00 per player for SF/ASF and $100.00 per player for grades 1/2, 3/4/5/6/7 with a $25.00 discount for each additional sibling.

Required: Players should wear a t‐shirt, soccer shorts, soccer socks, shin‐guards, and soccer cleats. Players should also bring a size 3 (SF/ASF, grade 1/2), size 4 (grades 3/4 and 5/6) or size 5 (grade 7) ball and plenty of water.

Benefits: More touches on the ball results in improved skills and more decisions. More decisions result in more chances for learning and development leading to improved confidence and comfort with/without the ball. Improved confidence results in less stress, more success and more fun!
